Tastes foul!

I am unable to eat enough to sustain me. Just received a carton of Vivonex, made the first one and it is absolutely foul to taste. I cannot eat but this drink tastes so bad I am not going to be able to drink it. Very discouraged.

TASTES Terrible, not covered by insurance.

Really expensive and not covered by insurance. Considered a dietary supplement by BCBS. TASTES Terrible. I needed this to try to let a fistula heal. By using this product the idea was it would give my intestines a break allowing for the fistula to heal. I was on it for 2 weeks and decided to move to TON and get my nutrition via IV, which was covered by BCBS. I'm a little surprised they don't make a flavored version for those needing to take it orally, as this is clearly for feeding through a tube. If u have drink this orally, I found Crystal Light Lemonade flavored powder drink added to the mixture made it tolerable. I mixed it in blender along with the big ones and water. There aren't many options for this type of product but in my case I had to move on to TPN IV Nutrition. Good luck!!!!

Purchased for my aunt She has been suffering from pancreatitis for many years She basically cant eat anything with any grease or any spices It is very difficult to keep up with necessary daily nutrition demanded by the body This product is not cheap but it provides great sources of nutrition for her daily life It is somewhat sad but her life is depending on taking Vivonex My aunt is very happy with the taste and texture of the product She is definitely living in a better life quality with more energy since taking this product
