Directions for Preparation and Use:

 

Use as Directed by a Doctor

 

Warning: Your baby's health depends on carefully following the preparation, use, and storage instructions below. Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Consult your baby's doctor about the appropriate formula for your baby. Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby's doctor. Always wash your hands and utensils before preparing formula. Sterilization or boiling of tap or bottled water and sterilization of utensils is recommended. Your doctor will advise if it is not required. If boiling water, bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute and allow to cool to room temperature before preparing formula.

Why does my child need a specialty formula?
Healthcare professionals may recommend an extensively hydrolyzed formula such as Extensive HA®, for the management of cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA) and intolerance, cow's milk-induced food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), soy protein sensitivity, or fat malabsorption. The formula contains 100% whey protein extensively hydrolyzed and is clinically shown to promote adequate growth.3

Can Extensive HA® be used for any CMPA patient?
This product has been clinically shown to be hypoallergenic4 and is available for patients requiring a hypoallergenic extensively hydrolyzed formula. The suitability and use of a hypoallergenic formula should be determined by an experienced health care professional.

What is the shelf life of Extensive HA®?
24 months from production. Look at the bottom of the can for the expiration date. However, once opened, the contents of the can should be used within 1 month.
