White mulberry (Morus alba) is native to China but can be found throughout the world in temperate and tropical climates. In parts of Asia, mulberry leaves have been used for tea, wine, bean curd, and noodles. The White Mulberry Leaf Extract in BOOST Glucose Control® is standardized to contain 5% 1-deoxynojirimycin, an important component of white mulberry that helps reduce the breakdown of sugars and starches into glucose.
